About Us
The Kairali Arts Club of South Florida has established a very healthy tradition of public service and commitment to the communities where it operates. The club's leadership places a very high value on community involvement and service. By setting high standards of participation and leadership, the club has carved an indelible print on the life of the Malayalee community of South Florida. Today the club is in the forefront and foremost in bringing together and establishing a bond of fraternity, friendship and love among its members and fellow beings of sister communities.
The Kairali Arts Club of South Florida has built a reputation for a willingness to serve others. It never hesitates to roll up its sleeves on behalf of causes that benefit individuals and society. There is a great spirit of volunteerism that is the hallmark of the club. In association with the YMCA, Thiruvalla, Kerala, the club extends medical and educational support to the deserving citizens of the region. 'Home for the Homeless' is a commitment the club has taken up in all earnestness. It is a matter of great satisfaction that the club has been able to provide one of man's basic needs SHELTER.
The humanitarian commitments of the Club with its active participation by its vibrant members, extends to the area of education. It provides total financial support to four students who are now pursuing a career in Nursing, in the state of Kerala. All of our philanthropic efforts are directed towards making a difference in the quality of life in communities where we operate.
The club was founded in the year 2002. Now in its sixth year of existence, the club is poised for a great leap forward. The club has gained universal acceptance and captured the hearts and minds of the South Floridian Malayalee community. The very name of the Club, "Kairali" is a n alternate word for Kerala (God's Own Country). We are therefore, God's Own People, transplanted by choice or fate, to live and participate in the corporate life of this great state of Florida and the biggest nation on earth, the United States of America. We, at the Club, are filled with a resurgence of community concern and aim at building a leadership that is sharply focused on community service.
In today's global marketplace we are driven to design and execute decisions that benefit mankind and the environment. By our sincerity to the causes for which we stand for, we believe that the club in the coming years will attract outstanding people who wish to be participants in its great ventures. The functional excellence and practical experience, thus gained, will make us highly skilled, functionally developed and culturally sensitive.
The Kairali Arts Club of South Florida owes its gratitude to its founding father, Dr. Mammen C. Jacob, who is a born leader of the community. His leadership skills, commitment and drive are legendary and universal. The Club would not have assumed its present status as a "Leader Club' without the untiring and pioneering efforts of Mr. Roy Thottam, Mr. Rajan George, Mr. Georgy Varghese and the late Mr. Kora Idiculla.
